Oscar Week Feature - Actor Michael Fassbender

Michael Fassbender (Inglorious Basterds, 300, Prometheus) has had a stellar year culminating with his Oscar nominated supporting role in 12 Years a Slave directed by his frequent collaborator Steve McQueen who he hopefully will collaborate with in the future again...possibly in a musical.

He elevates the appeal of any film, even films I didn't particularly like including The Counselor. His characters become so memorable in such a short time. His charisma, acting skills and adaptability make him a stand-out in today's filmmaking world.

In May, he reprises his role of Magneto in the likely blockbuster X-Men: Days of Future Past with the unique musician comedy Frank, action-western Slow West, an untilted Terrence Malick film, Macbeth, even the film adaptation of the video game Assassin's Creed and a role as Thomas Wolfe in the film Genius.

Fassbender will be 37 this April and was born in Germany, raised in Ireland, and is now based on London, England. He is also known as "Fassy". His last name means cooper (make/repair casks and barrels). Look for his 'Peanut Productions' company to flourish in the future.
