2013 Films I Want to See the Most

These ten films are my top theater candidates for this year (in order of release):
  • A Good Day to Die Hard - John MacLaine and son. A great series and so many great memories seeing the original and The Naked Gun in the Bryan, Ohio theater with family growing up.
  • Jurassic Park 3D - The music. The characters. Spielberg's modern classic. In 1993 on a Cedar Point family vacation I chose Last Action Hero over this great epic, but thankfully we got our money back when the projector went bad near the end...along with the movie. One of two family movie outing regrets in my life (other was choosing Toys over Aladdin in Toledo).
  • Fast and Furious 6 - Vin Diesel, Paul Walker, and Jordana Brewster collectively have not steered me wrong yet plus the returning Rock and Michelle Rodriguez should enhance this amazing stunt-filled extravaganza only rivaled by the Bond and Bourne film series.
  • Star Trek Into Darkness - Follow-up to the outstanding 2009 reboot. Missed the nine-minute preview before The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey, but don't plan on missing opening weekend in theaters.
  • Despicable Me 2 - The original is one of our family's favorite films...and funniest, so we're hoping for more of the same.
  • The Wolverine - Taking place after the events of X-Men Last Stand...when will he and Spidey join The Avengers?...well, hopefully soon...until then I guess the LEGO Marvel Superheroes video game will tide me over this fall.
  • Cloudy 2: Revenge of the Leftovers - Ditto from Despicable Me 2 here too for this food filled film full of impressive creativity and imagination.
  • The Hunger Games: Catching Fire - Catniss continues her reluctant heroic ways...I must finish reading the book before seeing the film this time.
  • Anchorman: The Legend Continues - Will Ferrell and a superstar cast with so much potential for necessary hilarious comedy.
  • 47 Ronin - This long delayed Keanu Reeves action epic should be well developed by now.
